Gardenia yellow powder is a water-soluble pigment extracted from the fruit of the gardenia and added to the water to give a golden color. The main components are saffronic acid and crocin, which are carotenoids. Different from the natural pigment of the anthocyanin series, its characteristics are not affected by the acid value and heat resistance, but most of the natural pigments are not resistant to light. If it is installed in a transparent container for a long time, the color will be degraded. However, the rate of decline varies depending on the characteristics of each item and the storage conditions. Therefore, basically, if the storage period is more than half a year, it is recommended to use opaque materials for packaging.
